I'm bored of my car... =\

got the plenum spacer 5/16 MTD, and the stillen intake....

I dont feel a damn thing cept for a whistle when i hit 4k rpm's.

Is a 2003 G really worth modding now?? im thinking of selling the thing and maybe getting a newer G like a 2003 honda s2k or maybe even the 06 g35's with the revvup engine. Something that has more hp potential. you know?

u guys ever get this feeling? maybe im missing something... i wish i can f/i it but the amount of work that needs to be done and the damage u'll be doing to the engine doesnt seem worth it.

maybe i should swap out my seats to shave some weight

I disagree,

theres the VQ's with the revup and now they got the VQ35HR

so pretty much us 03 and 04's are way outdated pushing only 280hp vs that 298 or 306hp. Yes we have more torque but if you swap an mrev2 onto the revup engines, u get an extra 20HP and 30 TQ.

theres nothing for us normal VQ35DE that can get us another 20hp!

mrevs dont give you an extra 20hp and 30tq technically. it is all there but just puts it in more usable areas. its not like you get an extra peak 20hp and 30tq.

If you're bored of the car, then sell it and get something you'll like better. You only live once.

But honestly, there isn't much more power to be made with these cars unless you go FI, there's also recently been talk about longtube headers that make great gains but they make your car super loud and not really daily drivable unless you like drawing undue attention wherever you go.

I have or have had almost every major bolt-on available for our cars on my ride at one point or another, and hardly any of them made any noticeable difference. As of now I've settled on intake, plenum spacer, and exhaust. It keeps the car reliable and daily drivable, and gives it a mean growl.

After years I'm still completely in love with how the G35 looks which is what keeps this car exciting for me. Any future mods I do will only be suspension or nicer wheels to modify my stance, nothing performance because I can't justify doing major engine work that would be needed to see any significant gain in numbers.

So you have to consider to yourself why you bought the G35; for looks or performance? If it's the former, be happy with what you have, if it's the latter, go buy something else.

Look into modding or find another car. Plain and simple. No car is "worth modding" more than another. The S2k has different if not more problems modding than the G35. Every car has their benefits and detriments.

LOL. EMO i think is the problem

i bet you've been working too hard, looking at ur g and go? HMMM...after these 2mods..i didnt get the gradification i wanted..LOL

i feel ya about the G, had my moment yesterday, i was driving my gf's civic..and i was like. Babe i wanna sell the G, there's somethign missing...(only cus its parked, and need some repairs, and i still haven't gotten the springs and tires i wanted *2months now..)
she's like OK, what do u want, i said SUV..drove for another 5mins..then i said. SIKE!!!
i love my car, then thought of the parts i wanted *tires for the 20s, teins*, thought about it..then wala....i love my car again..

I think we all get "bored" of our cars...its a phase..hahahha
i even told my girl, me n her should switch for a while, while i mod her civic to some JDM goodness. so its alot better to drive around than its present state.

U GOT THE CASE of the MUNDAYS!! lol
