Hey guys would an auto G kill a 330ci? Any info would be awesome.

 

Define kill...

I have beaten a few by comfortable margins on the street if that's what you mean. But the 330ci is still a very respectable car.

my sister has a 330ci. i have an auto g35. first gear is close, the bmw edges me out, but after that, i pull pretty nasty. 3+ cars

 

I think the 330s are faster than people here give them credit for. Their 1/4 mile times are close enough that it should be a drivers race.

On BMW forums, you see posts where the 330 was even or in some cases, beat the G35. Then here, people say it's pretty easy to beat the 330.

IMO, the truth is somewhere in between, the G35 coupe is faster but it's still a drivers race.

 

if both are auto you will pull but not by much a 6MT G will smoke a 330 idont care what anyone says...its quick but unless you have some serious mods and they otehr driver is a LA MONZ driver then you have nothing to worry about

I pulled on a 330 with Dinan chip, intake and exhuast by like hmm....2 cars or so from a 30mph roll or so....so there is truth in us rocking them....it was a manual too btw....

an Auto BMW isn't fast. The auto G > auto BMW (SMG excluded)

you guys forget that my sister has a 330ci auto and i drive it often. we've even raced a few times. i am by no means saying its a slow car cuz that thing is pretty powerful at low to mid rpms. it would give a g35 a run on the highway, but my auto g35 pulls on the auto 330ci pretty easy after 2nd gear from a stop.

the bmw auto tranny is so much more precise than the g35s..my g35 feels so much more rugged..

 

i know a kid with a dinan chip, intake and exhaust on a 330 copue who wants a race as soon as he's ungrounded.... so i'll tell u the results of that when it happens. His is a 5spd and mine is a 6spd ztube+p/c being my only mods. He's been driving stick for about 2 yaers longer than my 2 months experience too... so i think it should be a pretty good race

LOL, he drives a 330ci and still gets grounded? i never got grounded before in my life. i dont understand how kids can learn anything from that grounded/timeout crap.
