it may have fanbase but it doesnt have nearly the mod options as G35 and 350Z.....and like i said this VQ has won awards consistently ...what awards have Hyundai won?? most likely to seize up? most likely to fall apart?

and the Genesis isnt priced well, too high, considering for a few more you can have tried and true classics
I never said the v6 had a turbo.. I said with the v6 has shown dynos of 354hp (not WHP) with i/h/e and the turbo model has shown dynos of 35+hp with just a retune... I was comparing the Genesis to the G35 not the G37 or 370z so your comparison is dumb, We all know the 370z DOMINATES Saying it doesn't have as big of mod support isn't saying much, the car JUST came out as opposed to the 350z and G35 which have been out for like 6 years? Give it year or so and I guarantee you there will PLENTY of parts

Also the Genesis sedan won North American car of the year already, not to mention they have one of the best warranties..A fully loaded V6 Gencoupe tops out about where a BASE 370z with next to nothing so I don't see how you say pricing isn't good

Like I said, G35's are awesome and I'm really looking forward to getting one but it comes down to which one I feel will be faster. We all know it's hard to gain good HP on the VQ without going FI, the Lambda shows to gain power pretty easily.

I'm not biased when it comes to cars, brand name doesn't matter if I know its a good car with plenty of potential. I just need to go test drive both some more

I test drove the Genesis Sedan (V6). I was overly impressed with the overall fit and finish, power, and I also happen to like the design. With the Bentley Wing on the rear, the make of the car is not to be scene anywhere. What a car! Even loaded to the Gills it's only in the mid to upper 30s.............and many are buying these cars for under invoice. I'm not in love with the looks of the Coupe but do love that sedan. I'm going back for another ride soon. Sorry for getting off the topic, and yes I still love looking at my G35 Coupe whenever I park it, but the quality control is just not there.

I bought my G35 because it was a good deal and I needed a car at the time. I've been through some window motors replaced under warranty, and have a good friend whos a service writer at my dealer, no biggy though. Would I buy one again? No. I should of done more research beforehand, but acted on impulse instead. I should of been in a wrx/sti, evo, etc etc. Something more mod friendly. If I simply wanted style and base performance, another g35/g37 would be a good choice, but I'd prefer to mod. Everyone is different.

Edit: Also I needed an AT because of commuting to school, I tried it in a 05 m3 for a few months, and lets just say, I barely made it. That limited my choices a lot on cars obviously..

I'm not going to comment on the genesis really though, its a good car, but theres a lot of options... especially if you're going for performance/modding.

Overall I'm happy with my car and my dealer. I would buy a G37 coupe but not a G35 again, just to stay current. Or I'd buy another Infiniti to replace another vehicle we have.

what kind of comparison is that then man that should show u there the G speaks volumes since its between a possible MAXIMUM 6 year old car VS a brand new....the Genesis Sedan is priced well yes...HOWEVER Genesis coupes down here have a markup and are going for 38k YES a Hyundai for almost 40k....personally ur right the VQ doesnt take to mods too well but it is built like a bunker and takes alot of punishment considering most who go FI upgrade stuff where others run fine on stock internals.....if i was you id look at 370Z or Genesis V6....nothin beats a new car and im pretty sure u dont want a new G35 sedan

I'm kinda hoping the G sedan hybrid is out in time for my next car - more HP and torque, and better mileage

If not, might look at a convertible 335 or something like that, might be fun to have a ragtop.

Mine was recently totaled and I'm looking to replace it with another one. But it's hard finding a good 2006 G35 manual coupe in Atlanta, so I'm looking at one in L.A. and one in Indiana.
