There must be a difference between the 04 and the 04.5, because there is a different service manual for the two. I haven't the foggiest what the diffs are tho...

One thing is that they upgraded the auto shift **** where the button is on the left side to the same one used on the FX45/35 where the button is in the front of the ****.

Actually Blitz, there is. The 2004.5 is an ULEV2 vehicle with a different shift ****. Identifiable with VIN #, 800000 and above are are 4.5s.

yea with some weird luck i got a 2004 in june while my buddy got a 2004.5 in april-may...lol we noticed when we sat in eachothers car and said "wat the hell u have a diff shifter" lol
