Hey guys.. just wondering if any of you have a similar problem. My widow makes a rattle/crackling sound when it is half way down and driving over small bumps.. I tested it with the door open and shook the window a bit and makes the same noise.. i doubt my window is cracked. Is there a TSB for this? I might have closed the door once with the battery disconnected but don't think I damaged the window..
ne suggestions woudl be appreciated.. thnx

 

I think this is a fairly common problem. My Coupe had the same symptoms and the dealer knew about the fix (there is a TSB). They told me that they had applied a heavy grease to the window slide mechanism but I think they probably did something more like the TSB described. In any case the problem has not come back since then (9 months).

Just curious, what year is your car? I would think that Infiniti had worked this bug out by now.

Mines has the same problem. I give up on Infiniti service at my dealership.....bunch of retards. Gotta take the damn car in atleast 3 times for them to fix anything. On top of that I feel like they dont give a damn about me or my problems.

How did the dealer fix this? I installed my stereo and don't want the dealer to mess it up.

TSB for that annoying clunk with the window half way down

 

I had the same problem and it appears to be fixed. I also had them take care of the grease streak while they were in there and I think the new grease is either making a new streak or I have to clean that squeegie thing.

Word of advice that helped when I brought it in for the second time because they did not hear the rattle the first time: Do not say the window rattles, use the term in the TSB of either "pop" or "tick" (hell, use both). That way they will use those terms in searching for the TSB and find the right one.
