But I would say brembo has the name although they are great brake's dont get me wrong, there are better one's out. its like Rolex watches, if anyone knows watches a Rolex's movement inside and quality is shitt$ compared to other watches but dont have the name =) Since im 19 and have limited money, can I PLEASE have your old brembo's for a low price? Re: Stoptech Brakes (sneaky peeky)
I was looking at a test that put the big brake StopTechs (14" on all four corners) against the stock 350Z track Brembos, and it only gained a few feet of stopping distance. I think the advantage of the bigger brakes however, is the increased advantage in brake fade.

Re: Stoptech Brakes (sneaky peeky)
true, but only in autocross, or track events, otherwise they have no performance gains over the brembos, but damn do they look good!

Re: Stoptech Brakes (sneaky peeky)
Those red calipers look great against that DG paint job. Well done, sir, well done indeed.
The panic stop capability of the four wheel Stop Techs will be better than the Brembos, but only by a very few feet...from 60mph probably less than 5 foot difference. Remember, it is the tires that stop the car, not the brakes. Once the caliper and rotor have the capacity to lock up the wheel......you have passed the adhesion limit of the tires, so adding lots of additional braking power will not help there. What the 14.1" rotor relative to the 13" Brembo will do is supply additional cast iron mass to absorb heat, and that will reduce fade in the demands of repeated heavy braking. Also the stainless steel brake lines and upgraded fluid will resist pressure loss and dry/wet boiling. Plus, the pads that come with the ST are the Axxis Ultimates, and they are better than the stock ones we get with the Brembos. Having said that, you can upgrade to enhanced performance without changing out the Brembos if you want to. Just go for replacing the lines to stainless, and put in something like Motul 600RBF, and some more aggressive pads, and for a few hundred bucks, rather than a few thousand, you will get a marked improvement. But if you track it......you need the big boys. The ST have attitude and performance to back it up.
Have fun Narkotic. Great choice.
