Looking to get a 6sp

Sup guys, ive been lurking around this website for a while now and thinking very hard to get 1.

Ive been doing some research, and looks like going with an 05-06 is the best bet...
Im wanting to get an 05 6sp coupe and the only negative i read about the 05 six speed is that the oil consumption issue..

Is there anything else i should look for that could be a known problem on this car....

thanks!!!

Poor thread wear obviously, window motor failing, driver side door mechanical failing, seal around the windows wearing out, leather seats ripping near the part where it meets the plastic, rear axle clicking, etc etc..

06 FTW! Even if it has any misc problems, its still under warranty so its not like you wont get it fixed for free...

Prolly up to the service manager at the dealership but I've heard of people getting their seats replaced under warranty for it.

Main problem is oil consumption, however, only a certain amount of cars are affected by that. The other problems mentioned are predominant in 03-04's. At the current going price, 06's with low mileage are dirt cheap and there's no reason to buy anything older. GL with your search. You need to look at marketplace around here, members often price their cars to sell quickly.

06 6MT has the OC issue but is likely still under warranty. Buy an 06, start the OC test right away anda couple months later you'll have yourself a used car with a brand spankin new engine.

Worked for me.

I'm pretty sure he wants an 05 6MT, not a 2006.

If given the choice and price/mileage being comparable why would anyone want an 05 over an 06?
