I have a G35 Coupe without the (OEM) wing, does the coupe look better with it or without it? Why? Post your pictures!

The best part of having the wing IMO, is that your not stuck with the Third brake light in the rear window....When you order the spoiler from the factory, the deck is flat and looks alot cleaner. I did not order the spoiler, and wouldn't want to go through the extra expense to remove the brake light and purchase another deck cover......

I vote for no wing. IMO, the G35 wing looks out of place just like the one on the Subaru WRX. The line is much more cleaner without a spoiler. If you really want a spoiler, look into a lip spoiler.

 

in stock form, i like the coupe without the spoiler. the OEM wing just doesn't flow with the rest of the car IMO. i'm not against spoilers, i just think there are better options in the aftermarket.

 

ryno has a good point.....I've seen some of the members cars with the replica impul 3pc spoiler, and it looks really nice........since it doesn't have the brake light built into it like the OEM, you don't have to mess with the stock 3rd brake light assembly

This was one option that i personally did not wish to do without. I like the spoiler a lot and do not like how to g (or 350z for that matter) look without it. i guess its just personal taste. I dont like huge wings or anything, but i think the wrx also looks good (that huge thing on the sti is ugly tho....)

honestly i was never against the wing...then i got a good price on a coupe w/o a wing so i decided "okay i can always get one installed if i really wanted to" but now, i am totally happy i did not get the wing...i added an impul 3pc lip and that i love...to me the car looks really good w/o the wing as well as with - watever choice u make will be great...actually to me the color choice matters alot when choosing the wing..keep that in mind also

good point about the color... i think white looks just fine without the wing.. but i have a black coupe and dont like them without it.

I prefer the wing. It was installed at the dealer, since you can't get a base model with the aero package. So I went to an auto interior shop, bought scraps of board and almost matching two tone vinyl, and made my own cover for the back deck. Cost me 5 bucks and a days work to design and make the cover. Most people think is original

And yes the wing is a factory wing, with the proper gas struts and under/rear diffusers. I dont have pattern for the light cover, I drew it right on the board that I cut and covered with vinyl.

I have the OEM spoiler, and while I don't think it's an ideal design, I like it, and prefer the look of the car with it to without. Having said that however, I should mention that I originally wanted the car without it, then changed my mind after seeing the car both ways several times on Infiniti dealers' lots.

I don't think you can go wrong either way though; the basic body design is such a classic. The spoiler makes the car look more overtly sporty and without it the look is more understated-sporty.

 

i agree fully that with black u NEED the wing i dunno why but it just looks so plain w/o it on black...as for white

as for that "infiniti logo cover" made for the rear deck...GOOD JOB! u should really think of maybe making and selling those - i'd buy it AND i have tinted windows lol i couldnt care less i think its awesome! good work on that!

i think the back cover thing is cool too and would want one... except that my speakers are back there. the same can probably be said for at least 95% of G35 owners. (i talked to the salesmen about my car and he said that they dont even get any g35 coupes (especially 6mt's) without the premium package (which means premium sound too). He said i would have to special order my car if i wanted to not have premium package (which was good because i wanted it but felt bad because my dadd was paying the note and i didnt wanna get carried away with options).
