2005 G35

hey guys, i'm new at this forum and i am looking into buying a g35 coupe. my dad was looking into buying me g35 coupe around the month of october, but I hear that the 05 model will habe 295 hp, and the bigger rims. does anyone know the exact release date for the 05 model? do you think it's worth the wait .... or should i just go ahead and get the car asap? thanks. =)

Don't mind posts like that. The search function here is terrible anyways.

In reply to your question:

The coupe will get a bump in horsepower. 295 has been mentioned before, but the final figures have not been confirmed. 19'' rims were also mentioned to be in the works, but no detailed pics are out. Production should be around Nov/Dec, and so delivery may stretch into the new year.

If you are asking for my personal advice, I would recommend ordering an '05 model if you can stand the wait. The sedan is getting a variety of new features, and so I wouldn't expect the coupe to dissapoint.

Other features mentioned: Alum. pedals, redesigned int., revised shifting mechanics for a smoother shift, etc. Basically, nissan/infiniti has taken a lot of the customers' complaints into consideration. It is pretty close to 05, and with the changes the previous models are going take a slight hit in market value a couple of years down the road. Good luck.

Also check out the C6 vette which is starting production July 19th.

Now now, that's age discrimination. My youngest brother is 18 and he drives like an old woman!

(I hope you get the irony in that comment)

Re: 2005 G35

Someone on Freshalloy forums heard from a dealer that Brembo's are not going to be on 05 models. WTF? Can anyone corfirm or deny this? That would not make sense, especially since the 6MT is going to have 15 more HP.

Gonna order a 2005 DG 6MT Coupe soon!
