Buying an '03 when the '05s come out
Buying an '03 when the '05s come out
Hey guys. Currently I have a V6 accord, and im hoping to cross over to the dark side soon
For a while I wanted the 02-03 Maxima, with the first generation of the VQ, but the G35 had my interests for a while now.
Do you think that these prices will drop on the used '03s when the '05s come out? I know sometimes I see people selling them for about 26 or 27, but im hoping more will drop to the mid 20s once the 05s hit. Is this a dream, or do you guys think it might happen? I can afford more, I just dont want to go new and take on those payments. I would "settle" for the maxima, but the G35, as we all know, is what I really want.
Edited by KCMC582 on 07/19/04 08:07 AM.

I don't know if this will help answer your question or not, but it may be worth a look;
Infiniti Launches New and Improved Certified Pre-Owned Program [June 17, 2004]
SAN FRANCISCO (June 17, 2004) – Infiniti, the luxury division of Nissan North America, Inc. recently launched a new and improved Infiniti Certified Pre-Owned Program (CPO). The program is aimed at providing Infiniti CPO buyers a high quality pre-owned vehicle that delivers a luxury vehicle experience.
This program incorporates key enhancements that differentiate a CPO Infiniti from a non-certified used car. Every CPO vehicle comes with a three-year or 100,000 total-vehicle-mile (whichever comes first) Limited Warranty that starts on the customer’s date of purchase. The warranty covers over 1,100 components and all covered repairs include genuine original equipment replacement parts.
In addition to the CPO expanded warranty period, Infiniti offers elements of the Total Ownership Experience (TOE) with features including service loan car, roadside assistance program, and trip interruption benefits. In an effort for CPO customers to build relationships with dealers, the first oil change at any Infiniti dealer will be provided at no cost to the customer.
In order for a vehicle to be eligible for the CPO program, it must pass a 142 point inspection, be less than six model years old, have less than 70,000 miles on the odometer and be previously titled to another party. Each CPO covered repair has a $50 deductible.
Customer’s also have the option of receiving benefits beyond the coverage offered by the CPO warranty with the purchase of an Elite Infiniti Extended Protection Plan. The Elite Protection plan provides additional component coverage of two years or 10,000 miles (whichever comes first) over and above the CPO limited warranty. The Elite program also provides expanded component coverage and eliminates the repair deductible. The customer also has Infiniti’s Re-unite service added to the Trip Interruption benefits of the Total Ownership Experience where Infiniti will cover the cost to reunite the owner with their vehicle.
Through the CPO program, Infiniti wants its customers to be assured that their driving experience will be as worry-free as possible. The program also provides the perfect entry-level opportunity to introduce new customers to the Infiniti brand and its Total Ownership Experience (TOE). Customers should visit an Infiniti dealer for additional program details.
The announcement came during the Nissan 360 news media event, a three-week program in San Francisco featuring the automaker’s current and future worldwide product and business plans. At the event, close to 500 reporters had the opportunity to drive nearly 70 Nissan and Infiniti vehicles to familiarize themselves with the breadth of Nissan’s global product lineup.
