Re: no brembos on 2005

Ofcourse the dealer is going to say "No brembos on the 05"
Here is the answer: Because they want to get rid off the 04's first before selling the 05's.

Re: no brembos on 2005

No way they're trying to get rid of the '04's by lying about the '05's.

6MT's sell themselves, it's not like there's a bunch on the lot they can't move.

Re: no brembos on 2005

Maybe they're going to Larger AP brakes =P

What if:
Price drops due to not using Brembo brakes (crosses fingers).
+20hp (better be true!!!!)

would people still complain about no factory brembos?
I would think it gives me a bit more freedom to choose a better brake package via "aftermarket". I think that's the whole hearted point I was trying to make. *wink*

(i) expect to see a revised nissan (or branded infiniti) caliper, with a more smoothed caliper body (painted wrinkle black or the like)....

they can tout this as the infiniti HP caliper, maybe??

Re: no brembos on 2005

Both of those reasons have nothing to do with the Brembos and everything to do with the pads.

This make no sense.

All this fuss about the rumor. We'll just have to find out in a few months won't we?

Re: no brembos on 2005

I heard they would have drums instead of discs on all four wheels.

Re: no brembos on 2005

Well drums would prevent premature wear and squeeling as they don't actually work in stopping a vehicle.

Re: no brembos on 2005

Since the 5AT does not have brembos and the 6MT will not be out until December, that may be the source of the confusion that started the rumor.

If they do go to drum brakes, it will eliminate the brake dust problem.

On the first stop, it may eliminate the car.

If they do upgrade the standard brakes I think that another thing I would like to get upgraded on my sedan.

Re: no brembos on 2005

I heard they are taking out the brakes altogether to save weight. They are installing a fast reloading parachutes instead.
