OK - Once and for all!! This was just posted at freshalloy.com by Danny of Grubbs Infiniti in the DFW area:

"Since Infiniti has published nothing on the 6MT for 2005 and since the car is being enhanced WHY in the world would they discontinue them? It makes no sense. Someone is just bored and wants to get something started."

This from one of the largest dealers inn the US, who is mod friendly and a regular contributor at Fresh Alloy.

Lou

Doubling what lowrider said . . . I called up a local Infiniti dealer and the sales manager told me they have not been notified of any design deductions nor power reduction for the next year model(s).

Don't know how much they know or anyone knows for sure but i don't think anyone should worry unless they have itchy palms and can't decide to buy now or wait for another few months. In that case . . . go buy yourself a G and start G'n.

Re: no brembos on 2005

I heard they were offering a 1.8l 4-cyl option due to complaints about the mileage. For the v6 model, it comes with a sticker that compares the mileage with the RX-8. Also, there's a warning on the seats that say "warning, wide *** Americans may find seats uncomfortable".

Ok, I'm just kidding (glad someone picked up on that about the drums). I have my 04 Coupe now and enjoying it everyday. Still, it's fun to talk about the 05.

Maybe someone got confused and the brake upgrades are on the auto while the mt gets the brembos still.

iLLG35, that link is just the official press release from Infiniti that was posted 6 weeks ago.

The picture shown at the bottom of that webpage is not a 6MT version....do those look like 19's to you?

Gonna order a 2005 DG 6MT Coupe soon!
