I let my girlfriend drive my G. Oops!

Ok so I let my girlfriend drive my G. I know I know probably not a good idea. Oh yeah she's never driven a manual either and I have a 2005 6MT coupe. Anyways down to what happened. We were on a completely undeveloped road so there was zero traffic. Her first two tries in first gear she ended up killing it, not enough gas. The third try she got it going in first then shifted to second. I push it pretty hard when I drive with her so I told her to give it the nuts. So she floors it in second it accelerates up to 3200 rpms and then cuts out till the rpms drop to 2400 then it goes to 3200 rpms and cuts out again and so on and so on. I tell her to pull over, pull the brake and jump in the drivers seat to see whats going on. It does the same thing to me so I turn off the car and turn it back on and it never happens to me again, its been 3 weeks.

My question is what happened??? Did my G put itself in retard mode because it knew I shouldn't have let my girlfriend drive it? Or is there some other reason for this happening?

A shot in the dark:

From personal experiences (not from a G) it sounds like an air/fuel mixture problem. Some connection could be loose. Check the connection to the MAS and the MAS itself.

I don't even let ANYONE (even my girl) drive my 5AT!

...unless they have a G or some other car I want to drive in return, of course.

Thats the only person who has ever driven my G, none of my friends or family have driven it. We had a deal that day for you know what and I was weak.

Its not VDC I know what that is and when its kicking in.

It was a paved asphalt road, not gravel. I meant there are no houses developed on the road yet its a new development so there is no travel on the road, homeboy.

G35 6MT
I'm a girl .. and I'd NEVER let another girl drive my 6MT. Hell, I wouldn't even let my boyfriend move it out of the driveway the other day, when it was blocking in his IS300. I told him to wait five minutes till I got my *** downstairs.

I'd take it as a warning from your G to never let you girlfriend behind the wheel again, LMAO.

Normally I wouldn't even consider it in the first place. But since she rides in the drivers seat WITH me from time to time. Which by the way I never thought that activity was possible in the cockpit of a G, I figured I'd let her try and drive it.

Back to the topic. You're car has gone into safe mode. There could be numerous reasons for that, one possibility RPL mentioned. It could also be your MAF. Get a OBD II scanner, grab the codes, if there are any and check out the issue. Also try a ECU reset, see if it helps.
