My mazda started ticking real bad one day i had my old mechanic replace my rod bearings before it was too late. my g35 just happened before i could pull over on the highway. I would get a set of rod bearings and have a mechanic replace the bearings in the engine B4 it gets worse and u should solve ur problem. Plus its one of the cheapest parts in the engine that causes catastrophic failure. Bearings cost me 85$ for a set on the mazda and my mechanic charged me 400 to swapem. Much cheeper than the 6K it costs for a replaced motor installed.
