Hi G.. I have a Coupe on order with Scott now. Should I plann on not getting the rite color / interior set up ??? Are thy Ok, otherwise? who is / was your sales hole...?

Actually I am going through that whole thing right now. Dealer was supposed to order my car in Feb. I come back for an order number and they give me a bogus number. I call infiniti c.s. and after seven calls, the dealer finally calls them back and gives them the real order number.

Turns out it starts with a "C". Meaning the dealer did not place my order in Feb. The infiniti rep explained to me that there were people ahead of me when I ordered. Which the dealer did not tell me. Good thing I placed a back up order with another dealer because I think I'll be going with them now. But still getting a C production. :-(

 

that sucks, it seems that almost everyone lately is getting screwed on their order, i happened to have a real good experiance with scott infiniti (except their service dept.), i ordered my car late october and got a call on november first and i picked up the car i ordered. but it seems like their is such a high demand for the coupe the dealers don't care that much, because if you don't buy it someone else will. which really sux, because it gives the dealers the upper hand, as far as them giving you money off, realistacally i doubt they will, probably a oil change or 2. I think the coupe is the best two door car out there for the price. However, they are only making 10K of them, so this amount easily meets demand. I wonder if they made 20K, would the demand still be high. I heard somewhere that BMW makes 44K coupes a year.

I ordered the car through a car broker in West Palm Beach. I've bought a car through him before and everything was fine. He ordered the car through Scott Infiniti. I order the car through him to avoid dealer fees. I don't know who screwed up here. The dealer nor the broker want to admit who screwed up. I'm not going to tell you Scott sucks because I don't know. The lady at Scott is being really nice in finding me another car at another dealer but who knows if she can find one. I've been waiting for this car for a long time and I don't know if I can wait 3 or 4 more months for another one. I'm desperate people! I'm driving around in a Dodge Stratus! That is really bad. Don't ask me why I'm driving it. I just know that I don't want to drive that piece of crap anymore! Good Luck captg2000!

You can use Infiniti's website to search dealer inventories to locate a car with that description near you. Have you tried that yet?

 

Ken, their inventory online is very delayed. It's so funny because I checked Scott Infiniti's inventory and it had the exact car I had ordered and when I called, they said the car had sold last week. I felt like ripping my hair off!

I just got a call from the dealer that they may have a car for me by 4/11. Let's see if that goes through. I'm not going to get excited. The lady at the dealer told me to deal with her and forget about the car broker.

Mine still hasn't come in! And deliveries still were not in by 3/31! I know the dealer took a hit on that one too, they had 10 coupes suppose to come in by end of month, all sold.

I hear my new date is tomorrow. At least they put me in a brand new I35 until then...

Nothing wrong with gettng a FREE car to drive for a few days. Scott gave me one of their loaner "G" Sedans to drive for 4 days while they located another car for me. If they had not lucked out and one came in the next week on a shipment, I may still be driving a free "G".[img]/w3timages/icons/smile.gif[/img]
