Do whatever the f*ck you want! Its your car, your life!

And the only reason its called an infiniti here is so rich people feel like they are driving something better than a nissan. Its the same f*ckin car.

take all the badges off both a Nissan Skyline 350GT and an Infiniti G35, tint all the windows so you cant see in the cars (for the purpose of not being able to see which side of the car the steering wheel is on), and put the cars side by side. ill bet my life savings you wont be able to tell which is which. Do that with Maserati/Fiat, Acura/Honda, Lexus/Toyota and see what happens.

You could still tell by the headlights, turn signals, centercaps. The point is you are still knowingly putting something on your car that is not true, even if it is close. No different than guys dropping a V8 into their pos mustang and then putting cobra badges all over it. Or all the Shelby Cobra/Lamborghini/GT40 kit cars that are out. I promise if you put a well build Shelby kit car next to a true Shelby, you would not be able to tell the difference. But when you go to register it, guess what you do no register it as a Shelby because it is not.

Unless you actually bought a right hand drive Skyline 350GT, then you do not own a Skyline 350GT.

headlights are no different, centercaps are badges so they would be removed in my comparison, the taillights ill give you. the point is that theyre THE SAME CAR, minus a few cosmetic differences. Take off your "Infiniti" grill....whats the stamped badge thats on the back of it? Because when i took mine off, as well as a few other "infiniti" parts, they all had Nissan badges on them. If my car isnt a Nissan, then why does it have Nissan parts?

In all reality, they are actually Nissan cars that have been de-JDM'd. buna12834 is right. Just about every part on our cars are stamped with Nissan somewhere.

I honestly dont think this conversation will ever have a definite end or answer so i think haters should chill and let people do what they want without scrutinizing them. Just enjoy your car however you want to make it look.

everything
lack of RHD conversion with rebadging everything to a Nissan Skyline = WEAKSAUCE!!

If youre gonna do it, go all the way. I had a RHD firewall shipped over from Japan for one of my previous project cars, nothing better than seeing someone driving on the wrong side of the car in the U.S. There's a guy around here I see every so often with a RHD Silvia... props to him for not being a poser!

If the maserati has a fiat brother that looked identical in every body panel and interior and drivetrain part, then that would make sense. But they don't they are always significantly different with at least a different body exterior and interior. There are maseratis sitting on a fiat frames with a fiat motors but are completely different cars. You don't see anyone putting 350z badges on Gs and saying "eh close enough." Why? Different cars.
I don't care what the VIN says because the infiniti lineup is a Nissan posing to be a luxury car for stuck-up people in N. America to feel better about not driving a nissan. Ok maybe that really just applies to the entry level models like the G. But everyone should live with the fact that its a Nissan that was rebadged as an infiniti.
Also like I said before, I don't have the nissan badges on mine but every time I hear someone say something about infiniti being something special and not a nissan I really want to put that hamburger in my grille cuz I can't stand stuck up attitudes. Its a skyline, sorry if its not a GT-R that everyone drools over, but not every skyline is. The majority are just standard cars, just like there were no GT-Rs for the V35 platform. If you don't hold the skyline name up on a silver platter, you wouldn't consider it rice.

I agree 100% that people should do whatever they want with their car. But if it looks stupid, I will still laugh at them.

I take off badges, unless they're hard to take off. Then I leave them be.
