for those who have JDM'd their cars..

i bought my G with the Skyline lettering on the trunk, but with Mt.Fuji and G35 still on there as well(ghey....pic below). I plan on keeping the Skyline lettering, but getting rid of Mt.Fuji and the G35, and throwing on the 350GT that Riverside sells. I have a couple questions...

1) Im not that big of a fan of putting the Nissan burger on the car, so what do you think i should do about the grill? Get the Gialla Grill, or just bite the bullet and replace the Mt.Fuji on the grill with the Nissan burger, but not put the burger on the trunk? If i decide on just buying the burger to throw on the grill, is installation as easy as popping out the Mt.Fuji and popping in the burger?

2) What did you guys do about the Mt.Fuji on the steering wheel and clock, and the infiniti badged seats?

3) The 350GT badge that Riverside sells says it comes with pre-installed tape that makes it easy to just throw them on the trunk.....does the tape hold up well?

heres a pic of the rear of my car so you can see my badging situation....will the Skyline lettering look wierd down there without a Mt.Fuji or Nissan burger above it? Also the 350GT badge goes in the space where the G35 is, right?

and before you flame me i did search and read through the 2 threads regarding this(so much G to G hate going on in those threads), and please remember THIS IS HOW I BOUGHT THE CAR....so dont flame me for the badges that are currently on there.

IMOH, i think the whole rebadge thing is ghey if you dont rebadge everything! I would ****** the skyline crap off and just leave the mt fuji and g35 or just they mt fuji. Personally if it aint RHD you do not have a skyline!!

Hey Bina, no here why would anyone do that? Nice looking coupe, good find! There's an easier fix for what your doing than what you mentioned, remove the SKYLING letters. If you're really trying to come up with a JDM Skyline doing it right requires new steering wheel, clock and seats. Not to mention converting to right hand drive, see it's not worth all the headaches....remove the SKYLINE letters! (done) Search Debadging for the correct process!

Get a Gialla grille (or a replica made by Ionic) and put a 350GT emblem on it.

2) What did you guys do about the Mt.Fuji on the steering wheel and clock, and the infiniti badged seats?

You can buy the JDM RHD airbag cover and door sills. Zackt69 sells the airbag covers, Riverside Infiniti sells the door sills. Zackt69 also sells the JDM RHD digital clock. You will need to get your seats reupholstered, though.

3) The 350GT badge that Riverside sells says it comes with pre-installed tape that makes it easy to just throw them on the trunk.....does the tape hold up well?

That's plenty. That's exactly what your current emblems are stuck on with.

It's very common for people to badge the trunk without the Nissan logo.

And now, with all that said...

DEBADGING FTW!

yea im only doing the exterior badging and the door sills for now....ill see if i want to do the clock, airbag cover, and seats down the line.

i still dont know what i want to do about the grill....spend $20 and get the Nissan badge or spend the $260 for a painted gialla grill from Ionic. i might just go the route of the gialla grill since i dont plan on changing the interior badges from Infiniti to Nissan for a while and i dont want to have a Nissan burger on the front grill and have Mt.Fuji's on the interior in the mean time.

was the gialla grill a hard install or was it basically just unclipping the oem grill and clipping in the gialla grill?

Takes me about 30 seconds to install grilles. For a noob, it shouldn't take more than 5 minutes.
