Just out of curiosity, for those of you that have sponsorships...

How did you go about getting the sponsorship?

What are the requirements and commitments?

 

scam way = sponsorships.com but you could work with it a bit

"legit way" = send them a letter..a FORMAL letter all professional and such stating/showing why you should get the sponsorship and how you would promote their company/business, like you go to this many number of car events a week/month and/or you're doing something with your car like say you're gonna drop in a V8 in your G coupe and you're going to be drifting quite frequently and going to enter D1's and drift with the best and so you'd want them to support them(ex:suspension company) to give you a free suspension products or a discount of some sort.


but then again I could be totally wrong, it also helps a lot of you know people who know people then you get to know those people

You put tons and tons of money into your car, make it stand out. Then you may get sponsors.

NO ONE will give money/items to a stock car.

 

I agree. I have a Twin Turbo G with GTR front KS rear and sound system and rims and still I can't ask for anything free. good look even asking for discounts until you drop some cheese. You have to earn you keep, be handy with the steel if you know what I mean.

Everything is give to get.

 

well your car can't be stock whatsoever.. unless its the newest model out IE camaro.. anyways.. send a great proposal to a company that they cant refuse

 

Put lots of stickers on your car to show you support them, even if your car is stock. Then they'll be impressed and sponsor you.

Scratch their backs and they'll scratch yours. Make your car presentable, participate in car shows on a regular basis, etc. If they're gonna give you free parts, then they're gonna want something out of it. Bring something to the table that no one else can.

i still say put lots and lots of stickers on your car. they'll know you're serious about reppin' them and they'll reward you for it.
