Trying to buy a G....Opinions on car please

I am new to the forum and have a quick question and would appreciate any information. I have been looking for about a month and decided on a 05+ coupe b/c I read about the upgrades to the interior during this time and I want something with lower mileage.

Recently I came across what I think is a great deal so I would like some input on a different year. I found a 2003 6mt black on black coupe with 31k for $15,500. The car has the aero and premium package and has been garage kept. Several mods (z-tube, pop charger, clear corners, Ichiba 20/25mm spacers, tint and rays). I love the low mileage of this vehicle, but I'm concerned about a warranty and also if I should just wait and find an 06 with low mileage in the low $20,000 range.

If I were to get the 03 I would want to upgrade to the 06 projectors and so on so I would like to know the general opinion from others. Also if I were to get the 03 I'm going to have money left over to maybe do S/C or single turbo where I wouldn't be able to that on a more expensive car.

Thanks and I enjoy all of information I have found on this forum.

It's really your choice.

You can easily upgrade to the 06 projectors (plug and play).

You can also buy an aftermarket warranty.

I really think it depends on your budget and goal for the car.

I was gonna go 03 and save some money, but I have decided on going 06 because from what I've read the 06 fixes a lot of problems you find on the earlier models..

also, a turbo mod is gonna be putting you beyond the low $20k range from $15500 if thats what you are looking to spend..

Captain----that is why I was leaning towards the newer model as well. I wouldn't say I need the upgrades on the 06, but it would be nice to have. Also I'm not on a supertight budget, but I don't want to get out of control with my spending on the car.

^ I'm pretty similar to you, and from what I've seen, the money difference between an '06 and an '03 won't make up for the difference in repair costs since you won't get the warranty for the '03.. also if you add a turbo, you will encounter even more costs and problems, especially on top of the 03's already known problems
