Smile 05 G35 Coupe - Lambo/Scissor Doors - Bolt-on (Need help)

What's up everyone,
First off, if there is another thread like this... I obviously missed it. Ive been searching for an answer on the forum, but all I found were a few comments here and there regarding the subject

Here's what I need help with
- Want to do a bolt on door conversion for my G35 to Lambo doors
- Needs to be real bolt on, with 90 degree lift
- Warranty, and proven technology... none of the $200 broken seal stuff
- Budget ~ under 1k... even better if we can go lower

Please post link's / vids / pics if you can.

Thanks in advance!

What I would try doing if I were you and were searching for an answer is..

try searching the picture thread forums, either through 'search' or just going through thread after thread... and find people who have posted pictures of their car with lambo doors, and try PMing them directly.

I remember a black G35 with lambo doors, forgot username though.

And I think balla had lambo doors- anyone confirm?

Man, I was on the fence about it... Just trying to keep the G interesting for the next 2-3 yrs. Trying to plan out smaller projects for each year.

I agree the lambo doors would be pretty stupid... but... some of the pics did look "ok"

Was pretty low on the list... but then again... could be fun.

Thanks for the tip visibiliti. Do you have any pref of brands?

Our doors are too heavy to be supported by those stupid lambo door hinges. Please don't do it. Not only does this make your car 100% rice fun, but it will also warp the **** out of your door frame.

I guess I'll stick to other exterior mods then... I would go down the performance route... but I cant use the extra power.

I live in downtown chicago and with all the pot holes and a$$hole drivers around I cant take the chance. Already had to straighten my rims twice ($200 a pop).

Just trying to get as much "fun" out of the car for the next 3 yrs and then trade in for a gtr

to answer your question, no i dont have any pref of brands... like everyone else i was praying to my jesus that you didn't go through with this... i just chose to be helpful rather than send you to the curb haha

if you are looking for small projects / minor improvements to your car there are a ton of things that you can do. just depends how your car is at right now...

i'd recommend things like: painted valence, splash guards, clear corners, maybe an intake, and the motordyne plenum spacer.... just small exterior/performance stuff that doesn't get too crazy. don't get new wheels unless you drop your car. oh and if your car does not have the 06+ projector HLs ... that is an awesome upgrade you can do!

HAHAHA... ok the GT-R wouldnt make much sense here either... but I'm moving to SF in 3 yrs. But fair enough.. it was a dumb thing to say.

Yeah, you are right... I saw a few more pics and the lambo thing looks pretty gimp.

I saw the post on the quad projectors ... Now that looks like fun. Im having other issues with the car right now (humming cyclic noise that can be heard when im goin 35mph and above...posted about this in another topic)

Stick with your initial gut feeling. Say no to rice.
