ok guys i have a question... i have an 04 G35 manual tranny... and i saw a
G35 with a stock exhaust but he had changed the muffler... to a flowmaster
muffler..it sounds really nice... deep and aggressive... i wanted to know if anyone knew like the fitments or wat muffler i would have to get... because im on a budget please comment back...... sorry for all questions

If you're on a budget I say just take the muffler out, run a pipe from the midpipe and weld on a tip. I've gotten several compliments with that setup, but I also have the coupe midpipe (on my sedan). I had a resonated muffler tip and there was no rasp at all, but then the cheap thing got messed up so I replaced it with a non-resonated tip. It got a lil louder and a little raspy, but not disgusting rasp. A muffler shop should be able to do it for real cheap. You can buy tips from Walmart or use your stock ones. This is if you want to go the extremely inexpensive route...cost is under $100 for sure. I overpaid, paid $60 but I was in a hurry.

 

and with that its not gonna sound to loud.... like on the freeway it doesnt get annoying

 

Doesn't get annoying for me. Loudest is up to 4.5k rpm. After that it dies down...here's a couple vids.

yeah it's pretty loud, it will attract cops but if you're not flooring it you should be ok. I'm not sure how the coupe's mufflers are but on the sedan, from where the midpipe meets muffler, the pipe is angled so what the muffler shop did was cut off the pipe from the muffler portion where it goes straight so all they had to do was weld on a new pipe and after that, weld on a muffler tip onto the pipe they just welded on. They might have to weld some some hangers on to mount to the oem hanger holding points...that's what they did with mine.

For sure...good luck with and if you go through with it, post some vids. I dont know what the law is over there but if you get pulled over and they ask for certifications you'll get a ticket. I got pulled over but got a warning, but if it's a fix it ticket all you gotta do is put on the stock muffler back on and show em that, then take it back off lol.

Sorry to jack the thread but since the topic is up about exhausts.

Does anyone have the ebay burnt tip full exhaust system? i heard the sound clip from one of the sellers on ebay but wanted to know if it bolts up without modding it and what your opinions are off the sound from the exhaust..
