So I went to the Infiniti dealer today to ask some questions about the '05 and stuff, but they had a 2004 DG 6MT w/ aero kit on the lot. The salesman knocked some money off the MSRP and I bit. So now I have an 04 in my garage!! Boy, i'm so emotionally drained right now. I keep asking myself if the 05 is worth the 6 month wait + some extra $$.

did you get your G from fletcher jones infiniti in Chicago? because i was pre ordering my 05 coupe there today and i heard the dealer yelling DG 6mt coupe sold! he said it like 3 times out loud i was like some lucky bastard doesnt get to wait! haha congrats on the car either way hope she keeps u happy

 

No, I got it at Stevens Creek Infiniti in Santa Clara, CA.

I was driving it around last night and got some looks =)
But the seatbelt latch kinda gets in the way when I make turns =(

Now I gotta shop for a clear bra. Dealer said Clear Shield would be $900 and throw in wheel locks. I think I can find a better deal somewhere.....anyone know of a good place in the Santa Clara area?

Congrats on the new ride!!! I just got mine last wednesday, 04 DG/G 6MT. You made the right choice with the color. I get so many compliments. I got mune from Riverside Infiniti and they did the clear bra for $500 when I bought it. Gonna cover the whole front end, hood, side mirrors, door handles, and some part near the truck. They said their normal price is $695 I think. Good luck and congrats on the new car.

 

Wow, only $500 for clear bra? Frontier Infiniti's normal price is $985 + tax, the dude said he'd "make my day" and give it to me for $900 incl. tax and free wheel locks. Riiiiiight, i told him I'd think about it.

lol thats better then the service they offered me at stevens creek... walked in.. First words out of the dealers mouth.. Do you want to test drive a g35 coupe? Me: No.. I just.. Dealer: Well theres no test drives. Me: uhh Dealer: No Test drive No. Me: I just have a few questions about the car. Dealer: Here take a brochure go home read it and then come back.

... Well atleast the brochure was a really nice brochure...

I just had the clearbra installed today. It does have a 5 year warranty, so if it does do what you say then it will be replaced. And the kit I got is the standard kit for the G. I did not add any areas. I have had the car for 5 days and already have 2 rock chips. Maybe because you live in Florida, you do not know the value of having something to protect such a nice investment. Southern California is notorious for having debris and rocks on the highways. Have fun repainting your whole front end.
