no muffler or no resonator????? which one?

i confused of which one to do?

I do not like a loud noise in the car's cabin when cruising.

I need people's opinion on which one sounds better.

thank you

If you dont want a loud noise, then why would you want to get rid of the muffler. The resonator only reduces rasp and quiets it down very little.

In my experience, which is mainly with turbo engines, resanators do very little....now, removing the muffler....thats where the most sound dampening occurs, all throughout the baffling.....my advice would be to remove the mufflers....it will be louder, but also bear in mind that the amount of cabing noise will be significantly increased, there may be an inordinate amount of "drone" during cruising speeds....again, I am a turbo srt-4 guy, and NA engines don't like too much free flowing exhaust....

i took mine off i drive on 03 sedan and i love the sound (took the resonator out). i think it sounds just awesome when u get it to like 4500rpm. your call each is unique but if you want a lil louder without hurting your ears this is perfect

If you remove your muffler, the car will be obnoxiously loud all the time.. both inside and outside and you're pretty much guaranteed to not pass inspection when it comes time to get a new sticker.

removing the resonator will cause rasp.

removing the muffler will cause "loud noise" (drone).

buying an exhaust will make the car sound better than removing said items.

or you can install test pipes or HFC and the car will sound a little better using your stock exhaust

Bit of a confusing thread here, you want it louder but not louder in the cabin. If you increase the exhaust tone it's going to get louder in the cabin as a result.

I say just replace your exhaust. Dont remove anything as I am sure it will give you noise/rasp that your not going to enjoy
