How does fishtailing feel like?
sometimes when driving on curvy roads, the slip light flashes and i feel a vibration. it feels like the rear tire loses traction and then regains it.
i know this problem cannot be bald tires because i just got some new firehawk wideovals

It sounds like you've never driven a RWD in snow before. Anyway, you'll know fishtailing by the pounding sensation of your heart beating out of your chest as you try to save your car from flying into a ditch or into oncoming traffic as your rear tires break traction from the road. It usually involves having to correct your steering into the skid to keep traveling forward in a straight line (i.e. drifting). What you're describing sounds like VDC kicking in.

Fishtailing is what I did on one of our on ramps with my '92 300ZXTT after buying a wheel/tire deal. Used to driving with my Michelins and pushing it thru this onramp I did the same with these cheap tires....little water and my backside was sideways and then moved the other direction upon correction. Easy to correct but sure got my attention and my wife riding shotgun shook her head and said, "Nice!" No more Falken tires on anything I drive only Michelins....
