Anybody try this key mod?

Looks like you take apart your fob, get the dealer to cut the key, put the transponder chip in, and it makes it into an all in one remote/key deal.

i have the same key,
definetly a good little upgrade.
i like my all in one key now

Did you get it from ebay? Looks like the one they are selling doesn't have the mt.fuji on it like yours.

program what?

all the dealership had to do is cut my key
thats it. they didnt charge me anything or reprogrammed anything

you just take out your transponder chip
and put it in the new key fob and your good to go

That makes sense

I was readin gon ebay and it was saying how you need to get it programmed through your dealer.

Never realize you're actually using the same remote that already works

Ok I have ordered on ebay another remote and it came with a key. I was wondering is it possible to remove the chip from that key and reprogram it to work on my car then I can buy this keyfob and just get it cut that way I will have an extra key? How much does it cost to reprogram a chip?

the material looks like rubber on ebay. how's it feel
they didnt charge you for cutting the key? which dealer?

its like a cheap plastic/rubber feel.
but the one i have gets scratched up easily

my infiniti dealership didnt charge me anything
to cut my key

i dont know if its the same in socal

eww, theres a more geniune one on ebay somewhere. an actual g35 member sells it so im pretty sure its tip-top quality.

and socal people are greedy... O.O
