I hear talk about a sports bumper? Are the differences between the "standard" bumper and the sports bumper minimal? And do I have the sports bumper? I assume this is an OEM part, right?

Reason I ask is b/c my car is in the shop for some pretty extensive body work and want to make sure it gets replaced with the correct bumper...

Yep that’s the sport bumper just like my car has

The sport bumper is an option for the car

 

and I thought it was only an option for 06 and 07 but I could be wrong

 

it does not come stock.. it comes with sport package on the '06-07

 

i still cant notice one difference between sport/non sport bumper

 

what you have is a 06-07 sport bumper
some might get 03-05 bumper confused when having oem bumper with oem lip.

The lip that jets out on the sport bumper is not on the regular bumper.

The biggest difference I see visually is the airducts:

 

notice the center of the bumper as well on the sport bumper, it has an arch that goes up a little bit as well. like a mini ferrari thingy.
