Hey guys, I just got a IP coupe. I'm trying to decide what percent tint to get...I drive a lot between Irvine and LA and don't want to get crap from the cops, but I still want my G to look clean. I'm probably heading out to California Tint next weekend. Thinking about getting 20% all around, but on an IP I wasn't sure if this would be too dark. What do you guys think? 20% or 35%? Thanks.

 

hey Man, check my photo album if you want. I've got an 05 IP coupe, no mods in the pics, but i've got my tint on. it's 20% on top of the factory tinted glass. Its SUPER dark

why would i wanna tint over that, its so nice

 

20% all the way. 35% is not enough.

 

do 20% on the sides and 5% on the back windshield ... looks great IMO..

especially if you ever plan on painting your roof black it will look good with the dark rear windshield..

So our windows already came with 35% tint from the factory?

If you add another tint layer on top of that, how hard would it be to remove everything in the future?

I have 10% all around on my IP, got 1 ticket in 2 years lol. SF cops can be a$$holes about it too, but if you keep a look out and roll down the windows in time you're ok. Def looks clean though!
