I live in California and I got 5% tint all around. Didn't get pulled over yet. Ohh yea you can always remove the tint yourself its pretty easy. I removed the 5% tint on my rsx was easy it's just a sticker that peals of then use some windows cleaner.

Dont worry! You shouldn't get much trouble from cops. I got pulled over once in over 2 years I've had it and it was by highway patrol. He told me it was 2.87% but I always thought it was 5%?

either way he just gave me a lesson. Cops usually have better things to do.. like pulling me over for speeding instead.
