New WRX > G35, G35 > old WRX stock of course.

Although IIRC, the new WRX's had some serious engine problems (brittle pistons/piston failure).

 

friend has an 06 STI. Very quick car, but my 03 sedan with assorted bolt ons was holding pretty well 0-60 with him. Make it worse .. I'm AT and he's MT, but stock. Still STI>g's sadly far as power to weight.

 

we can beat the 08's beacause there turbos are alot smaller than the 09's

 

Yeah they updated the 09 to 265 hp, big improvement to the 08 overall.

 

If the wrx that DetroitG35 raced was an older WRX. Im pretty sure he could have beaten us. I live in MD, and I have yet to see a Stock WRX. Every WRX my way has an upgraded turbo, intercooler, and various bolt-ons. And could easily leave us in the dust. Just my 2c.

 

Same here as far as modded WRX's... every wrx around here would kill my G. They're supposed to be really fun to drive, but I can't get past the ugliness...

rofl.... right... your friend is a bad driver... lets just put it at that. even an older STI will walk the G...our Gs modded or not are NOT FAST cars... lol.. even with FI... the gains are nothing compared to most other cars with FI.
