So on hot days whenever I make an inclined or declined turn (any turn with bodyflex) i hear a thud coming from the back roof of my G. Its an 06 43k AT. Im pretty sure the sound is coming from there or maybe the strut brace in the trunk and the sound is resonating to sound that way.

It happens more often when it is hot outside and louder too!

Anyone have experience with this?

If I take my car to the dealer, should they charge to diagnose the car? it is still under warranty but not sure if they will charge me to investigate the sound.

My main concern is that i dont want my sunroof or something to fail later on down the road and the fact that the noise is annoying/embarrassing.

sure its not the rear window?

there was a member that got the bodyflex and it shattered his rear window going into his driveway

i cant find the thread though, sorry

 

it's normal for our cars...mine does it all the time when im parking at home (i drive up a slight incline slope into my garage)

 

nice description of the sound... i knew exactly what you are talking about. I have the same problem... VERY annoying.

I don't think its normal because it started making that noise a few months ago.

 

I have the same thud...dealer heard it too but couldn't figure it out.

 

Same sound on mine, took it to the dealer they had the sunroof re-sealed...
Sound went away...but came back again, took it to the dealer, sunroof re-sealed again.

The sound hasnt came back, but the dealer was nice about letting me know if I hear it again to bring it back and they would take care of it.

All was covered under the warranty.

 

My car's been doing it for a while too with 13k miles. Good to know the dealership will take care of it.

they replaced a part and i havent had to go back since
