Very well said. You should be happy you have such a great, fun car. I'm busting my ***** looking for a deal on a good 04 6mt.

$17,000 for an 04 6MT with 37,000 miles on it is quite a good deal. Here, a really clean 04 G35x with 50,000 miles can go for about that much at a dealer.

Sometimes I feel the same way. I bought my 04 last October and sometimes hate owning a nearly 6 year old car. But the G35 still looks good and has good styling, so that helps quite a bit. And it's pretty reliable too, so I don't mind driving it daily. There's times I'd like to get a newer make/model but I've grown fond of my car in the past year.

In my opinion the 1st generation G35 has rather timeless styling. It tends to be mechanically highly reliable, and the technology is not by any means hopelessly out of date. My issue is not so much with the car itself, but with difficulty of keeping an beautiful "old" car that's an everyday driver, looking that way in New England where the climate and the road conditions are virtually your everyday enemy. It's just difficult on almost very aspect of the vehicle here. Almost invariably the really clean 04 that I own today will degrade quite a bit over about the next four or five years. So at that time I'll probably let it go. The wife and I are thinking of moving to Santa Rosa California in about five years. So if we do so at that time maybe I'll buy myself a really nice 2009 G37 coupe, and my *** will be basking in that California sunshine.

If you take care of it, it will take care of you. Who cares what the year is? Most people will think nothing of it as the 04-07's look the same.

Forget it

Ahhhhh the 2004 sucks. I wouldn't want to be caught dead driving around in a 2004 g35. I might want to shoot myself. I'll tell you what. I'll do you a favor and take it off your hands for you so you don't have to live in such misery.

First I want to say that I have a 04 coupe and LOVE IT! Its a bad @ss car imo. It looks hot when clean and has enough power for me and runs great, cant ask for any more then that. I dont care if its an 03 or 07. I drive it because I love the way it looks and not what the sticker has on it.

Now modding a car is not a money maker. You do it because you love the car and want to built it the way you want it. Its making the car your stlye. I would mod a one year old car just as much as a 15 year old car. I love my G but I still also love my 93 NX2000 and my sentra. I build MY car because I like the car not because of OTHERE people.

Just think about the things you'll be missing if you get rid of your car. As a Spanish saying says; "No sabes lo que tienes hasta que lo tienes perdido." Which means "You don't know what you have until you've lost it." So, just take your time to think about it and make your decision.

i completely agree with you. i just got my 04 6MT @ the end of this past august and i absolutely love it. $15,350 and it had 62K mileage. Problem is i live in boston, and i dont have a drive way so i find myself parking on the side street to the main road im on just so she can be a bit better shielded from flying dirt, pebbles, and other debris from passing cars. i can see the potholes for the most part but in a month or two i know it will be brutal with the cold, snow, salt, and city muck on the roads...hoping for the best.

to the author of the thread, just enjoy your car dude, its a good looking car regardless @ 5, 6 , 7 years, its still an awesome vehicle. have fun w/ it!
