Revup major performance boost in WINTER

We know that cold/dense air equates to happy engines. I've never been able to feel the warm vs. cold air difference in any car I've owned until my '06 revup G. For comparison my wifes car is an 04 6MT Maxima and the engine pulls hard year round (regular VQ35DE, non revup). When the temps drop below 40 degrees, my G turns into a completely different animal. I feel like it's very tame all summer and then the cold mornings hit and HOLY COW BATMAN! Totally different engine. We're not talking about a little bit faster, it's a major difference in the thrust department.

I really wish I could have that feeling year round. Comments specifically from other cold climate revup owners?

Have any of you installed an MREV2/spacer and gained the same kind of power that we get during the winter? That's really my hidden motive with this thread. Dynos and numbers are one thing, but I already know what winter performance feels like so I'd like to know how close that is to what people feel with an MREV2.

My '04 (which means it's non-RevUp) also has a pretty big difference in power in the cold vs warm. It sounds a lot cooler too.

Not much going on under my hood (see below) but improvement in cold? Definitely. Ear and butt dyno concur.

As for putting those huge power gains to the pavement in winter....

Cold season = the obvious. Colder denser air = more power.

The flip side to this is the crappy additives they add to gas in the winter that kills MPG/performance...

Isn't the performance gained by denser air somewhat negated by cold tires?
