5AT Sucks!!!!

Yesterday i was driving with a friend who owns a 2003 350z 6mt(mine you this was the first time i ever driven in a 350z) only mod is jwt pop charger and hotchikis sway bars. Man that car feels good. It felt like he had some much control and torque. This was the final straw for me and my 5at. Now i am in the market for a 05-07 g35c 6mt.

It seems to me that your pretty set on wanting a 6mt. I dont think upgrading your 5at will be enough to keep you from straying. I had an 05 5at before my 06 6mt. But for me it is well worth everything. I couldnt be happier.

Less than $2k, depends where you get them installed. Probably less then what you'd lose if you trade in. Do a search for "transgo valve body", "3.9 gears", and "4.08 gears". You got some reading to do .

He has a shorter ONE PIECE driveshaft and shorter gearing.. If you install a 3.5 FD gear in your AT it will pretty much feel the same.

I once had 3.9 gears in my AT G and a stock MT would not pack a punch harder than my car.

^ Upon my researching of changing FD gears, I noticed the people who say it dramatically reduces your MPG, are the ones who haven't done it. The ones who have done it say it's reduced it maybe 1-2 mpg or less, which to me isn't a huge difference considering our cars don't exactly sip gas to begin with, lol.
