Has anyone out there done paintless dent removal before?
I have a dent on my quarter panel, and i want to get it fixed. Any recommendations? Does it work?

 

I have twice. Once on the trunk lid and once on the left quarter panel just behind the door edge. Both were very successful. Make sure the repair shop does their repairs from from the inside. You don't want repairs made from the outside by using suction cups or gluing pull rods on the dent. Those methods can damage the paint.

One critical item - if the paint in the dent is damaged (chipped or scratched ) the repair will remove the dent but the paint damage will still show. I was lucky - no paint damage either time. Good luck!

I also had it done, on the passenger side door. They also did it from the inside with great results. Their reco was the sooner you try to remove the dent, the better the results will be! Only my clear coat was slightly chipped, so basically onli I know where the dent was.

how much usually runs? just small dent without paint demage you had?

2004 IP everything 5AT/MOMO shift ****/Typhoon/PS2/Clear Corners/Blue Fog Lt/All white blue bulbs inside out except purple light under the door/Z-tube and K&N Drop in (on the way)

do they have to remove the inside side panels to perform this operation? How do they go inside and pop it out?

 

Got a dent on my quarter panel a week after picking up the G, dealership took car of it free of charge. Took them about a 30 mins, they removed the tail light and got the dent out from the inside. looks as good as new. I think they usually charge around $100 a dent. When my previous Accord got caught in a hail storm they only charged $400 for the entire car (around 50 dents, mostly on the hood.) I didn't get it fixed till 8 months later and they gave me the wholesale price because business was slow at the time.

 

They get at the dents from the inside by a variety of methods - pull off panels, tail lights - etc. For mine on the 1/4 panel they drilled a tiny hole in the door jamb to get behind the dent with the needed tools and then plugged the hole with a little black plastic cap. That was no biggie to me as the cap looks like it belongs there and the big, ugly ding was completely gone. It cost me $80.00 . The trunk repair cost $90.00 for three small side by side dents ( caused by my finger tips when I slammed the trunk too hard - opps! ). They didn't drill for that one as there was access on the inside they could use. Bottom line for me with a black car where any little imperfection is very visible - this repair method has been a blessing. The $170 I spent was well worth the aggrevation it eliminated.
