When I brake and slow down I notice the RPMs does a little spurt before it gradually goes down. I don't understand it at all. I mean why would the RPM jump up a little when i'm not even on the gas pedal?? Anyone else experiencing this on their G35?

 

I experience this too but only during tiptronic mode... I'm guessing, in my situation, that the automatic change to 1st would cause this hike. It jerks my car and is very uncomfortable for my passenger but... im on that fakemanual

 

I don't get the jerking movement. I just get a little RPM pop up, kinda funky.

 

Its probably your cyntrifical brake check valve bearings........

 

On a serious note though. Do you have a MT or an AT?

 

I have an '04 Auto Sedan and I've noticed this problem recently too. My car would jerk a little when the rpm jumps as I'm braking. Do you also have a low idle around 650?
