Well maybe rattles are a Nissan problem. I've owned a lot of cars over the years and the only cars I have owned that rattle were Nissans:

'84 300ZX
'03 G35

 

I recently started hearing a rattling noise coming from the steering column? Anyone come across that one yet?

6 MT, Navi, Brembo's, spoiler, 20 inch GT-C's, sunroof, spoiler, crap and more crap.

 

I also have a 98 accord and g35 coupe. G35 rattles from above passenger door, sunroof rattles alot too and also rattles alot from the rear deck.

No rattles in my 98 Accord..LOL.

I also get rattle near passenger glove box? While driving, I opened the glove box and the above compartment and threw everything on the seat and it was still making the noise. Driver side door also makes a creaking noise when opening and I did spray the hinges, so we know it’s not that. Any fixes out there?

Just got the car back for the glove box area rattle sound. They put padding where the dash board meets the windshield right above the air bag area. The door still creaks, still pending.

 

You know what guys,
i think we are just *** out on this rattling thing. My rear parcel by the speaker rattles, the glove area rattles, i've taken it in and it just worst when they try to fix it. You would think with a 35k car everything would be in top shape.

Something else that chaps my *** is the service department:

Inconsistent call backs, one time I had to contact customer relations, and then they called.

First Oil Change-Picked up car, first aid kit in back had what appeared to be oil marks from some warranty rattles in the back

Second Oil Change- Warranty rattles again, and this time a dent in the hood

Third Oil Change- Scratched Rim

They repaired all, but that was the last time I ever take it in for the unlimited oil change package purchased. Currently in talks with Customer Relations in getting a refund of the full amount for the package.

 

Nissans have always had problems with rattles. I only have 1800 miles on my car, so I don't have any yet, but once I get a rattle, I won't be surprised. If rattles bother you enough to swap cars, get a Toyota/Lexus. I didn't have one squeak in my IS300.

I'm still getting the glovebox rattle on occasion. What is the fix for this? I'd like to do it on my own without taking it to the dealer.

My rear deck/headliner rattle/buzz has almost subsided since the temps have gone below 85 degrees. I figured this would happen, so I stayed away from the dealer.
I have started to notice the little "tick" sound the windows seem to make now that the buzz/rattle has disappeared....LOL. and so far my annual glove box annoyance has not surfaced yet.....to be continued......................................... ...............................

yup, i've taken it in for the TSB rear parcel thing. it sucks. it's not worth it. don't waste your time on it. i think the rattles are going to persists no matter what.

I also put some foam tape across the metal top of the door edge, which the panel hooks back on. This fixed the buzzing/ticking sound. Dashboard clunking noise that seems to be coming from the glove box, the service guy sat on the edge of the passenger seat putting pressure right where the dashboard meets the glass and it stopped. They padded it, and now that gone as well. So now, I just have the door creaking sound, on the driver side. Anyone else?
