nope it wont. that tq on that lightning will just blast you off the line. it will take after the 1/4 mile for you to catch up and pass it. Gearing on the lighting will fail after the 1/4 mile

from a roll you'll take him, depending when boost kicks in for either car will make the difference in the race. since our G's perform best at top end, thats where you will shine.

I kinda agree with Lightsout. The lightning ( assuming he has good tires ) will launch like a ****...you probably will loose from a stand still. From a roll though you'd probably win.

Depends on what the Lightning has for rear tires. If it's making that much WHP, it's going to be really likely to light up the tires... especially if they're the stock size. I would imagine your G has larger than stock tires... right?

I think a good G driver would win off the line, and then the lightning would pull on you and probably pass you with ease due to the gargantuan torque... and stay in front up till around 110 MPH at which point the G would start to come back due to aerodynamics and gearing. So basically, the Lightning should win.

No way a g will beat a lightning off the line. G is slow off the hole. In the other hand lightning's massive tq will blow bast the G.

Can't mess with lightnings. Just listen to the other comments and race him from a roll.

HERE IS A VID OF THIS RACE.... BUT I THINK THE G35 DRIVER IS LYING BECAUSE HE SAID LIGHTNING WAS CHIPPED OR HE WAS JUST A REALLY GOOD DRIVER

I accept with information:that tq on that lightning will just blast you off the line. it will take after the 1/4 mile for you to catch up and pass it. Gearing on the lighting will fail after the 1/4 mile.

The gearing on the lightning isn't the biggest issue...it's the aerodynamics. It's frontal area is twice that of the G.

aerodynamics is not going to change the outcome of the race. the gearing on the lighting is just going to fall flat even with a chip or flash. lightning only has 4 short gears

No...it has 4 LONG gears.

1st = 44mph
2nd = 77mph
3rd = 118mph
4th = 166mph

Our G's have FAR shorter gearing than this...although it has more gears. This was calculated using 2004 specs. While I agree it may not change the outcome of a 1/4 mile race...it will most definitely show from a roll when going over 100mph.

might have to double check what you posted. from what I remember the lighting topped out at 130, due to govenor. the cobra had a higher top end
