wow shrummi, very impressive engine setup , I need to try to set my engine bay up like that , hows the sound and performance gains from the hks?

 

haven't really dyno'd, the sound i like though. a nice whistle after 3k. i can;t really say i feel a performance difference but that's with any of my mods i'm just the type that needs forced induction to feel the difference.

 

If i could have gone back in time, i would have gotten an ARC intake, i just love the way they look

but it's been proven that the JWT/Stillen/Stock Rev Up, makes more power.

that said i went with an OEM z tube and a JWT pop charger, it's quite loud at WOT, much louder than my exhaust.

 

I'm really trying to avoid going with one of the more commonly installed intakes. So its really between the HKS, Weapon R dragon, or secret intake as of now . Trying to make my g feel and sound more sporty, so I'm adding ionic eyelids and a spoiler very soon and hopefully a intake if I can decide

 

I have the Weapon R Secret intake on my Sedan and i don't have any regrets about it....Im only 25 and if i had my choice and price was not a factor i would choose the R2C, PoP Chargers, or Takeda Short Ram....however the sound from these is mean and just about everyone who gets in my car is asking why my car sounds so cool haha....even girls

 

get an AEM CAI

I cant believe that no one has recommended the injen CAI. i have that fitted and it looks and sounds amazing. Only used the top half of the pipe. according to the info, has proven 14BHP increase, but cant say whether that is true or not. I would recommend it though.

 

iv been looking at the secret weapon too. what website did you find it on so i can compare that price to the one i saw?

 

I just type g35 weapon r into google and hit shopping, then hit sort by lowest price, really helps to sort through all the car part sites and find the best deal

 

When looking for a intake filtration should be your main concern. None of the intakes make HP regardless of what they advertise and claim. My choice has been Stillens CAI/Z-Tube which contains a large K&N filter and the sound like everyone else's at or above 3K RPM is incredible. Stillens intake isn't bothered by heat soak which we all know kills HP....not good!

I accept with information: it seems the secret is more expensive and has a thicker foam then the dragon.
