just checked mine. 76$ in indiana.
cali, yours went up cause the state is out of money. they are still deciding what to do for state funding of insurance. So far they said there isn't enough funding to have a medicaid program. I would expect the tax payers to pick up the slack in that situation like always.

i think a lot of you guys are very lucky. I am in the UK. we have Road tax that is based on emmissions, i am paying about $750 a year for that, then a yearly inspection that is about $90 plus insurance. that has gone up because of thieving scum so is now about £1200 a year even though i have a clean licence and made no claims. plus we are now expected to pay about$6 a gallon of fuel. getting too expensive these days to drive anything with some power!
for that price i'd just buy a motorcycle of clunker. thank god im not ever moving to the uk O.O

According to what the news media has said and the newspapers, CA. license fees doubled. Just got my notice today and had my G smogged, fees went up $30 and our Vette was about the same. My daughters license fees went up 40% on her SUV to over $500. Sure makes you wonder if anyone is in charge of this state and do they know what they're doing....
Is it possible fees jumped 100% on new vehicles and a lesser percentage on older cars?

It didn't quite double. The vehicle-license fee went from 0.65% to 1.15% of the value of you car that year. Your car depreciates every year so the older the car the lower your fee and increase will be. Your daughters suv is probably newer and worth more so she gets hit harder

Good thing Sacramento can't see my coupe or the low mileage, I might be paying what my daughter does. When I was leaving the smog check station today a Benz owner told me, "I like my Benz but I really love your G35!" Don't cha just hate compliments....

Thanks for the enlightenment PTownG, yea her Ford is newer but I wouldn't take two of hers for my G....
