burning clutch?
burning clutch?
Hi guys, I just recently noticed that after driving my G, I can faintly smell something that resembles burnt rubber. I checked the tires and engine and it doesn't seem like the smells coming from there. I dont really drive my car too hard, shift between 3-4k and my car has only 4000 miles on it. Do you think that my clutch might have some problems?
Re: burning clutch?
Nevermind, found the problem, i found a shopping bag melted on to the bottom of my car. But I also found alot of fluid dripping below the car....Seems like a/c fluid, what do I do about this?
Re: burning clutch?
A/C fluid is actually refrigerant. It is a gas at low pressure and a liquid under high pressure. When released into the atmoshpere it will evaporate and you will never see it. What you are seeing is probably the condensation that forms at the drier. The water that condenses at the drier is allowed to drain underneath the car.
Re: burning clutch?
Yes, seeing a river-like stream of water under your car after driving with the A/C on is normal. I say 'river-like' because it usually looks like a river, not because it is large as a river. I guess it could look like a puddle if you were parked on an exactly level surface.
