Wusseeee

I don't think it's worth the time plus I don't have the drain container and ramps. If it were a BMW $150 oil chane yea I'd do I myself [/QUOTE]

What???

You don't need a ramp???
You don't even need a drain container???
Worth who's time???

It only takes 1/2hr to change your oil and you can use your spare tire tools and a couple to bricks for added safety while you're at it - use your mama's or 5 gallon cooking oil plastic container if you can't afford a drainer - the time it took you to come up with excuses not to do it you could have been done by now or the time you sit a the dealer waiting for your oil change you could've change your oil 5-6 times already.... Wuss?????

don't hurt me Gary!

conventional has been fine thus far, but with the extra heat from the SC i think it makes more sense to go synthetic.

no...., I was going to help.... but you are doing ok for now... I use Mobile 1 5-39 and I change oil/filter every 6 months or 5k miles... it cost me $40 (oil $35+ filter+ drainplug gasket/washer and city picksup oil & filter no charge,,,in their recycling cans) and I get to keep my car clean and running smooth.. I have over 100k MILES.....

where is the oil cooler located

the stock oil cooler has coolant circulating around it and is there primarily to help your oil get up to operating temps quicker. that's the one located between the oil filter and the oil pan. i think 'grovefromnh' is referring to an aftermarket, remote oil cooler which most people mount somewhere behind the front bumper. i'm not sure how 1-2 quarts of oil could wind up in the stock cooler

the end user can mount an aftermarket oil cooler wherever they like, however, behind the radiator would not be the best place. its not even really possible since the OEM fans are in the way.

for max performance, you mount it in front of the radiator or somewhere with direct air flow (ie behind one of the holes in the front bumper).
