Is this sketch?

Heres the deal, Im selling my rims and had a buyer pm me. He has 12 post and is from Bahrain. This is what he said when I asked if he was still interested.

"yep, still interested.. it's holiday here (3 more days), then i can get my paperwork done with the bank..

cuz for this kind of money, i have to get an approval of depositing it into a credit card.. then i can use paypal to do the transaction.

i'll let you know when i'm done."

Just didn't know myself if this was legit or not and my dad is telling me it could be a scam..

Thanks and sorry (buyer) if you see this, do not take it the wrong way. I just want to be sure of things. Thanks guys.

You can deposit money into the credit card? Does he mean hes paying off his balance?

not necessarily sketchy. different countries have different rules with regard to financial transactions. give it a few days...you may even find another buyer in that time period who can use paypal. whatever you do, don't send the wheels until you have cash in hand.

hmm well what i would do is when he send the money dont send the wheels till the money is actually in your account and out of your paypal account, also have him send it via gift, 1-to eliminate paypal fees, and 2-he wont be able to do a chargeback if indeed he is trying to scam you!!!

Exactly. Wait until the amount is deposited into PayPal, and until the money is deposited into your account (usually this takes 10 days).

not really.

ive uses paypal for about 3 years now and ive never heard of that.

your paypal account needs to be connected to a bank account or a credit card to be comfirmed and verified.

DO NOT SEND YOUR RIMS UNLESS THE USER IS VERIFIED OR COMFIRMED. if you send it and the buyer is not comfirmed they can file a dispute and you can lost your money& rims even if you have tracking number. because paypal has a policy of as long as its unverified and uncomfirmed the bank accound holder isnt held responsible.

payment from paypal can be made within seconds. just need the users email address.

you dont need 3 days to go through the paypal process.

either he is just wasting your time or he needs an excuse to gather the money.

remember: only send the rims if the buyer have a verified and comfirmed housing address.

make sure you get tracking number too. because without that you lose all dispute cases lol.

Is he paying to have these shipped to Bahrain? My guess is the shipping cost on rims from the US is outrageous.
