What differences do people see when they seafoam the car? I was thinking about doing this since my car have felt sluggish lately... im only at 70k miles so maybe i'll wait another 10k or 20k until i do...

Whats the verdict on when we should seafoam? I have an 04...

I was thinking about doing this, but i'm not even 50% sure it would have any effect on my car.. I only have 60K and from what I have u should have 80K and better to get any results out of this stuff.

You will probably not notice any major differences when using it. I used it at around 45-50K miles and it seemed to work for how much smoke bellowed from the exhaust. I did notice a slight improvement in MPG immediately after using it.

Just talked with my uncle a few days ago, he's a career mechanic in Sacramento. He says that seafoam isn't really great on your car, and he only uses it in extreme cases when he's diagnosing a car. Since it contains some very harsh chemicals, it eats away at all your seal and such, albeit a little at a time. But he says not to use only if you really have to, so I'm gonna stray away from it and find other way to clean out gunk in my engine.

I Don't like messing around with stuff in the oil on vehicles with high mileage due to seals. In my opinion a quality synthetic oil has enough detergents to keep your engine clean over time. If you have been using synthetic or doing oil changes in a timely manner than I doubt you have any sludge and crap to worry about. The Brake booster where it pulls it into the vacuum should be fine but even that is no necessary. I think 1 can in your gas tank should be enough to take care of fuel treatments. Stick with Mobil 1, Castrol or other quality synthetics and you should be fine. Older vehicles benefit from Seafoam but even those can start leaking from seals.
