Finally Ordered at Joe Macpherson Infiniti

Hey there G and G'ettes

Well I am a lucky man. Today I got an order allocation for a fully loaded B)/Graph 6MT for May production run. It seems that Joe Macpherson Infiniti in Tustin has received a huge allocation from Infiniti for May production. If you are at the point to get your G, and can wait till June to get it, then call Joe Macpherson Infiniti (esp. if you are in SoCal).

First the Dealership
Bill Favini is one of the best sales people I have ever had the pleasure to deal with.
Although I was just putting down a deposit today, he treated me as if I was picking up
the car. He walked me through the whole process from order to delivery and
went over all the details about the car. Took me on a test drive of a 6MT Sedan (that car is magic!) around the Tusin area.
They are selling their cars at MSRP and they will not butcher the front of the car with the license plate holder (Bill does like to do that to such a wonderful car). Based on my experience today I would highly recommend buying a car from them. They have none in stock right now, but I think they have openings on thier May allocation. Call Bill Favini and he will look after you.

Second, the car
I was really lucky on Friday when I called Joe Macpherson Infiniti and spoke to Bill. He told me about their great allocation for May and called me back once he verified he had a BO/Graph 6MT Loaded Coupe on their allocation. Today I did notice the splash guards on the order and it makes sense after reading posts about them being mandatory (??).

I currently have a 1994 Toyota MR2 Turbo. It has been my dream car since I was a kid!! After driving the G35 Sedan, I became a kid again (a 28 yo kid mind you ). If the sedan is any indication of the Coupes potential, then I now truely understand all those posts on the forum from people who are so excited about their coupe. Driving home i could not stop grinning like a fool and laughing to myself..and I only put down a deposit.

Finally
I just want to thank everybody on the forum. I have been lurking around here for a while, contributing here and there. I look forward to meeting alot of you in person once I get my G.

PS
One interesting note about the Satelitte radio. I asked Bill Favini about Infiniti's delay/reluctance in putting this option out there for us. He said that Infiniti is waiting to see how Sirius and XM do business wise in this economy. He pointed out that it would be very bad for business to sell someone the $400 SAT option and then their carrier goes out of business a couple of months later. He also mentioned that some older coupes might be retro-fitted to have SAT.

Anyways, thanks again. I will continue to stare at my order number until my car arrives!!

Mike.

Re: Finally Ordered at Joe Macpherson Infiniti

Hey...just wanted to reply to this Email because of my bad experience with this dealership. I first started looking for my G35 coupe back in late november, and i went to this dealership first because its literally 1 minute away from my house. The representative i spoke to there told me that if i placed an order for the car, I wouldnt get it until march.

So i decided to search elsewhere and went down to Mission Viejo. They treated my very well there and I actually put in an order there instead, and within 3 weeks, i got my car (There was luck involved there). The reason for this is because i think the Tustin dealership gets flooded with orders and although the allocation might be larger than other dealerships, the fact that so many orders are placed from that dealership lower the chances of you getting your order on time. My friend placed an order in Janurary and the dealership told him that he would have his car by april. June rolled around and they told him it would be in early July. He decided just to buy an Acura CL because he got fed up with the wait (and saved a few grand). Just my 2 cents.

Re: Finally Ordered at Joe Macpherson Infiniti

I had read some other simaler things after my post. I have an order number for a car that is in May production. If in fact that a VIn number is not furnished to me in May, then there will be hell to pay.

I actually called Mission Viejo and the guy I spoke to was boaderline rude. So i guess it all depends on which sales guy you get. I am glad that you got your car and were satisfied with the service you received. All I know is that my deposit is refundable and I can go elsewhere is I get screwed around.

Thanks for you 2 cents worth. I will make sure that I keep on them now.

Mike.

Re: Finally Ordered at Joe Macpherson Infiniti

Well I figured that a VIN would be late May early June. I just meant that I wont be one of those poor souls that gets thier VIN 5 months after they place an order. I just hope things work out in the end.

Its been 3 days since I have been at the dealership and I already have withdrawal symptoms (hehe). Its going to be a long haul ahead.

Peace

Mike.

Seems like you guys have had to wait awhile...maybe I got lucky..Ordered mine on Mar 24th ....had the coupe exactly one week later on Mar 31. I'm in S. FL. and got mine from Infiniti of the Palm Beaches....also had a very good experience with them...

Re: Finally Ordered at Joe Macpherson Infiniti

I used both dealers. I ordered from Tustin (Bill Favini) after searching fruitlessly for the car I wanted for 2 months. Favini is an honest guy and told me because of the backlog on their order list, my order could not be placed for 2 months and would probably be filled 3 months after that. I found the car at Mission Viejo a week later using Infiniti's build and search website and Mission Viejo was great (took credit card over phone and held car till late evening when I got off work).
I called Favini a little worried about my deposit but he congratulated me on finding the car I wanted and mailed me a check refunding me my deposit the next day. My experience with both of these dealers was exceptional (I will not comment on my experience at Cerritos Infiniti, the closest dealer to me).

Re: Finally Ordered at Joe Macpherson Infiniti

I am with you on Cerritos (also closet to me, in Los Alamitos). They called me today saying they had a Black Coupe in stock, but I turned it down. I decided to wait and go with Bill F. Although the guy i was dealing with at Cerritos was good to me, I just have a vibe about that dealership.

I know the wait will kill me, but the day of delivery will be sweeter cuz of it.

Peace

M

I am in Los Alamitos as well. It will be good to see another black coupe, or any G35 coupe for that matter, in the neighborhood.
