I wouldn't buy anything with that kind of mileage on it's clock. If anything major goes wrong you're screwed. You should be able to find a G35 with half that mileage for about the same price. It would be better to pay a little more now than major $ by buying a high mileage vehicle....my opinion!

OP, listen to Papa G he knows what he is talking about, do your research on here.

Learn from what we have posted, and check for things like that.

99K, is a lot of miles on the clock.

You can definitely find a G with 50-60k milage for around the same price. Keep looking. You will regret it if you go ahead and buy one with 100k already on it. You're only going to have problems.

Did I miss something here....? He never said a price. So how do you know he's not getting it for like $10k?

I don't care what the price is, 99 thousand miles is to much. IMO.

Well obviously if he's looking for a car with that many miles, thats probably all he can afford on his budget.

Ask the owner about brakes, tires, alternator, battery, plugs, transmission flush, how often he changed the oil. Find out about when and how often things were serviced. If he took it to an Infiniti or Nissan dealership, if he did the service himself. Id much rather trust a car guy who does his own maintenance than some grease apes getting minimum wage at a dealership.

99k isnt bad, cars today last for hundreds of thousands of miles if maintained properly. Im glad I dont suffer from the same thing my old man does, buy a car and put as little miles on it as possible... WTF Buy a car and DRIVE it.

I usually get rid of my vehicles once they hit 75k, but thats me, I want a newer one, mileage has nothing to do with it for me, but some peolple cant afford to do that

99K is nothing as long as you have the maintenance records

Yeah I would be careful especially with a performance car that most likely wasnt driven by a grandma.

What he said. If high mileage is your only option, make sure all maintenance records are up to date or don't buy it.

oh, nvm, he's probably gone......

i say do it, i bought a 04 6mt with 104k and its now 139k and runs like a baby. i had no problems so far and everything is flawless. leather is mint, underhood is clean, motor is as quiet as my boy's g35 with 39k. Overall, it's a nissan motor, those things can take a beating. trust me, i abused the hell out of mine.
