Got rock chips?!

Does it seem like our G's are more prone to rock chips? I feel like the paint on the G's is weak. Anyone got rock chips?

Thats why most get a clearbra installed when their car doesnt have any rock chips.

Yeah I have 2 small ones after 3 weeks. I'm trying to stay as far back as I can from traffic (obviously not doing well at it though).

Re: Got rock chips?!

i don't like the look of the clear bra.. it tends to collect dirt and wax...

no clear bra, no chips here!

I guess I pay more attention when I clean my cars....
I don't have any collections of dirt and wax...

Though I have put 4 windshields in in the past 12 months. Love that $0 glass D

Re: Got rock chips?!

The dirt and wax problem can be easily solved using a light brissle tooth brush and water. I've had the clear bra on 3 of my last cars... and no complaints here. I much rather have a thin line on my car then a series of rock chips.

Re: Got rock chips?!

The first time I took my car out for a nice drive, a rock
about a size of a quarter hit my front bumper and made
a nice slight dent and scratch. Its near the bottom so
I don't care that much, but I felt so lucky that it didn't
hit anywhere higher then that where it would be much
more
noticable. sh*t happens. clearbra
is a good investment especially if you have aftermarket
paint (repaired bumper, etc.) I use it on my Cooper-S which
has the aero bumper with aftermarket paint. NIGHT AND DAY
difference with and without. And from about 2ft away, you can't even see the bra.
