You can do the gask tank/ brake booster now, and do the oil right before your next oil change, Wont hurt.

Naw actually I trust him. He owns one of the shops people in our car club go to, he will let me know when I need to do something like that. His shop is the only place that has touched my cars in the last 2 years except for warranty work.

Plus he has a M45 and an M6 so he knows about Infinitis and BMWs.

Elite Importz.... FTW

i seafoamed this evening, did half a bottle through the vacumm line to the intake manifold and the other half in the crankcase "oil", it smoked a little bit, not a whole lot which is a plus

taking it in tomorrow morning to get the tranny flushed and going to have them do a quick oil change while its there as well'

Make sure you put some miles on the car before the oil change. I'd say 20 at minimum.

When I did my G, it smoked a lot. Then I used 2 bottles on my other car, a 1999 pontiac grand am, with 189K miles and it didn't smoke at all.

i'm seeing about 2 mpg after doing a BG fuel injector cleaner, haven't quite finished the whole process, first is throttle body cleaner and whatever else they do at the dealer, that helped a little, then i dumped a bottle of fuel system dryer in the gas tank, going to drive it until gas lite comes on then atleast another 20 miles. then i have to put the octane booster and fuel injector cleaner bottle in, hopefully by then i will be back up to 20 mpg, before doing this i was at 16 mpg.

I also replaced the air filter which was filthy, but all this just goes to show you that keeping up with maintenance pays off (in gas...still paying over $4.00 a gallon) i don't know how much the air filter did, but i'm sure the fuel injector cleaner is working as well. I will definetly be doing this on other vehicles.

SeaFoam does a great job for fuel injection cleaning. Best to use about every 30k. We use that and the Valvoline injection cleaning. All with great results.

All you'll see is white smoke coming out of the exhaust. That white smoke will come out either way, regardless of whether the motor was dirty or not prior to your Seafoam treatment... because it's the Seafoam being burned up that is the source of the white smoke.

I did vac line over the weekend, sucked up a can into the intake. Yes lots of white smoke, it went away. Hopefully it did some good, no way of really knowing at this point. 61k miles, 1st time, cannot hurt. I've used fuel injector cleaner from Lucas and had the injectors cleaned as part of dealer service (ancient history, maybe 4 years ago).

I can't see why you'd put it into the oil since the oil isn't (hopefully) in the combustion chamber and intake, and the gas tank would dilute the effect and guessing unless very empty you would get less of the effect and more smoke over time instead of one time, one day.

Edit - for TB I used CRC TB cleaner, it worked well.
