Help. auto a/c turns on and wont go off
Okay so i got my 03 coupe like 4 months back and about 3 months back i started having some electrical problems. I get in my car and about two seconds later auto a/c turns on down at my feet and i cannot turn it off. it completely makes my middle console inactive. even my deck goes black and the only way i can control the radio is by the steering wheel controls. this auto a/c thing doesnt always happen either. only most the time lol. having all of my fancy buttons do nothing is getting to me. what could the problem be? my computer fried or something or could it just be a blown fuse? gah!!!

A very common problem on 03-04 cars. Your circuit board on the Bose is fried. It controls the radio and the AC.

dont wanna shell out all that money for double-D's? now you know how strippers must feel
Anyways, that's what I thought too it's SO FACKING expensive for a DD setup and I don't really need a navigation/GPS since I already have one on my iphone.
What you can do is go to radio medics (i used them but have yet to get my radio installed yet) and they will fix it for you for $300ish.
Dealership WILL charge you $1,200 to fix it just a FYI!
This is one of the most covered issues on this forum and your options are outlined. I have the same problem. I'm putting in a Double Din head unit in march but for now to fix my climate control function I bought a JDM AC controller and took out the bose circuit board and only replaced the AC control functions board. AC controls work again and i'll be installing a head unit later on. By the way, even if you take out the fried circuit board you'll still be able to control your stock radio with your steering wheel controls. You always have the options of finding a used functional circuit board to fix the problem. The stealership may expect you to pay up to 1200 dollars for a replacement, that's a rip off. JDM AC controller costs 200 bucks from riverside infiniti, also found in this forum. Some people say they have been able to send thier fried circuit board to Clarion (maker of the bose system) to have it refurbished at a lower cost.
