What DGP said.

since I had my vb upgrade done I replaced all the trans fluid in my car with S-Matic. So I don't have to worry about any flush for a while.

Just FYI - the words are thrown around a lot but make sure you know what you're getting.

1) Do not do a machine flush on a Nissan or Infiniti, even Nissan themselves told the Dealers to not use a machine flush on them.

2) You can do a "flush" by cycling a full 11-12 quarts of fluid through the system and this is what Nissan\Infiniti recommends and should be doing. Considering Matic - S is what $13 a quart dealer priced you're talking ~$156 for 12 quarts of fluid so $240 or so isn't a terrible price if that's what you're getting.

3) A simple drain\refill is only going to cycle 4-5 quarts of fluid so again at $13 a quart so again assuming 5 quarts you're talking $56 now this would be a rip off for $240 or so if this is what the dealer is doing.

Just check to see what the Dealer is actually doing to see if it's worth it or not.

1) Flush machines uses high pressure to flush the fluid and during the high pressure flush, contaminants and shavings end up circling around and this is where trouble happens.

2) While you're technically flushing through all 12 quarts you're not doing it through high pressure, you're either doing it through multiple drain\fills or doing it through the normal pressure of the transmission.

Not only do the flush machines run high pressure through the systems when they flush them, but they also run the flush through the systems backwards.... in the opposite direction of typical fluid flow. Sometimes chunks of hardened contaminants built up along the walls of certain areas of the transmission will break free during the flush and become lodged into some of the smaller fluid passageways, and completely block flow of tranny fluid to those areas. This is why you will often read stories about people who had old cars that never had tranny problems, but also never had tranny fluid changes or flushes before, and the owner brings them in to have a flush done, only to have his/her tranny die on them a few hundred or thousand miles later.
