I echo much of what has been said to this point. You're young and you'll do what you want because it's what you want.

Honestly you probably should be spending less of your free time watching youtube videos about working on cars and more time studying to get your GED...then think about going to college. Your G will last you maybe 10 years, but your education will last your lifetime. You don't want to be 30 years old, having to say you didn't finish high school...maybe use that education to learn what should be done with 300k to turn it into much more...

You said your g/f is going into med school to do peds. Just so you know, let me tell you what's going to happen with that. Since I'll be graduating from med school in may, I have at least 100 friends who are also about to be future docs. Know how many date/married people who didn't graduate high school? NONE. People who go to med school are 1) smart and 2) ambitious. Therefore, we lose interest in dating people who aren't (i.e. those who don't finish school). Get your GED (or for god sakes just go back to school) so she'll at least think about keeping you around...that's something your money or your G won't do for you...

Not hating on you. Just hopefully giving you some pointers for future success. Best of luck finding the G of your dreams...

  1. Buy a beater house w/garage
  2. Buy a G
  3. Go to school
  4. Get a degree

You can fix up the house while attending some automotive school. When the market is back up again you can sell the house for a profit. Then you will have a G and some formal training, and another lump some of money.
300k is a lot, but it cant last forever, not even close. A degree will last forever, and as a hidden bonus will secure a good future for you and your beautiful gf cause you will be able to make well over 300k Over time of coarse.

Out of all things, seats??

You need to think about how you would be living if you weren't going to be receiving this bulk of money. I guarantee you wouldn't be dropping out of high school. Right now your trying to get by, off this money from the dog bite and cheating your way around the way of doing things. There is a reason people go through these stages of life. Its called growing up.

Go back to school and get an education. Go to college and find something your passionate about doing..(selling homes, mechanic, etc) and do it to the best of your abilities. Stop sitting at home looking up youtube videos and telling people on forums how your life is planned out from this fortune your getting. Just my opinion.

IMO I think you should get your ged then go to automotive school. I know alot of people who are licensed real estate agents who arent making any money. Once the market picks up get your license, also definately get a g i just got mine as a second car and love it.

I'm 18 and I drive a G35 I bought with my own money. I'm currently attending college after graduating from high school. It went something like this:

Graduate in top 25% of graduating class -> Apply and attend one of the Top 100 public universities in the US -> Look at and purchase a G35

For me, no good education = no car. Yes I have money, but I know it's not gonna last. Dumping it on an expensive investment such as a car will make it last even shorter. One needs to attend school, graduate, and get a good-paying job to keep the flow of money in check. As much as I love my G35, I'd like to upgrade to a newer G35 or a G37, or maybe even a GT-R when I graduate in four years, and the only way to achieve that is to go to school. At least I pray that our fellow G35Drivers don't **** money out to buy and modify their cars.
